Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to implement Evoluno in my company? As an HR manager, does it take me time?

The implementation of Evoluno in your workplace is very fast, at most a few hours of your time. Our delivery and deployment is very efficient, because we know that HR managers have a busy schedule. We provide everything needed to get started with the launch of Evoluno.

Is the content scientifically validated?

We want to be the most trusted partner in mental health. Therefore, we only use scientifically validated tools. Our self-care pathways use only evidence-based techniques validated by peer-reviewed studies. We thoroughly vet the therapists in our network, ensuring that they have significant experience of working with employed people.

What is the average return on investment?

It varies but is around 10x. The return on investment is very quickly positive, because generally, helping one person out of a hundred pays back the annual cost of Evoluno (avoiding long term absence or turnover due to burnout and all the disorganisation of work that this implies)

Is mental health content not available free of charge online?

There are many resources available on the web. However, what you need for an effective mental health programme is not only to have good content, but also to link it to other activities (setting up a support system, communication campaign). Content alone will not give you effective results. Furthermore, it is important to personalise the recommendations and make the learning process as easy as possible. Only our microlearning approach (self-assessments, readable audio clips, practical exercises) integrated with an easy-to-use application makes learning not only enjoyable but also effective.

Is the content only available via a mobile application, or is there a web version?

Yes, in addition to the mobile version (iOS/Android), there is also a web version of the platform.

How do you handle employees who leave the company? Do they still have access to Evoluno?

There is a trade-off between control and confidentiality. We choose to opt for confidentiality. This means that employees are free to register with a personal email address and/or with an alias. This means that we cannot know which specific employee is using the application.

I'm afraid that people won't commit to it in the long term, especially on the mobile application.

We understand this fear. However, two things mitigate it. Firstly, we find that a significant number of our clients' employees remain engaged even months after launch. Six months after launch, the app's usage rate is typically between 10% and 15% per month (compared to about 2% per year for traditional employee assistance programs). Secondly, the app is only one point of contact. It is not the only one. Including campaign participants, we engage nearly 30% of staff on a regular basis, and even 50% or more with some clients.

Can employees invite outsiders?

No, this is not a feature we offer at the moment.

Can I pay for my employees' therapy sessions?

Yes, and we encourage it, because the financial barrier is real for some people. Generally, our clients fund the first 6 sessions of an employee who requests support. In this case, Evoluno acts as a middleman in the transaction. The therapist bills Evoluno, and Evoluno bills the company. This allows for complete confidentiality in the process.

Is there a chat or help line available on the application?

We provide a list of emergency numbers.

How much new content do you add per year?

We generally put one new pathway online every month. A pathway is a structured sequence of steps consisting of a set of activities (audio tracks, exercises, assessments) aimed at improving a specific dimension of a person's mental health.

What are the topics covered?

Currently we provide content on: anxiety, resilience, self-regulation, self-esteem, sleep, anger management, non-violent communication, sleep, insomnia, mindfulness, gratitude, burnout prevention, energy, telecommuting, stress management.

What if I need a specific topic?

We love to hear our customers' ideas! As we are constantly producing new content, we would be delighted to incorporate it into our pipeline. For example, one of our clients expressed interest in topics on parenting. They are now in production.

Are there any subjects reserved for certain types of workers (managers, etc.)?

For the time being, no. The content of the application is accessible to all without restriction. However, we sometimes organise activities (workshops, group discussions, etc.) that target specific populations.

Is Evoluno completely confidential?

Yes, and this is an issue we do not take lightly. We have strict processes in place to ensure that everyone's privacy is respected and secure. We never share individual data with a client or external service provider.

Do you share information with the employer?

We never share data that could directly or indirectly identify an individual. We only share aggregated data with employers to help them understand what is happening in their workplace.

What information should I provide?

Nothing. Our start-up process is very simple. You sign up and we provide value. You don't need to give us data or access to any internal tools or create an IT integration.

What if I already have a mental health service provider?

Great, we think Evoluno is complementary. We can link the resources you already have within our digital solution to give them more visibility.

Are there any long-term contracts?

Our contract is valid for 1 year, renewable.

What exactly are the terms of the guarantee?

Our mission is to provide value to people. If we fail in this mission (i.e. you don't think Evoluno provides value to you), then our business relationship is meaningless and we will gladly refund your money.

Will it work for me if I am based in [country]?

Yes, we can work with companies all over the world. We work with a network of over 80,000 therapists worldwide to ensure that we can provide effective support to your staff wherever they are, online or face-to-face.

How can I justify the cost to my management?

We understand that helping people is a good thing, but at the end of the day, companies want a financial return. That's good, because improving the mental health of your staff is not a cost, it's an investment. Happier workers are more engaged, which means more productivity, less absenteeism and higher retention, and a better reputation for your company. Think about it: a single case of burnout costs your company thousands of dollars. By helping just one person, by preventing just one burnout, you're already getting a positive return on investment.

Does Evoluno help me to meet my legal obligations?

Most countries have a strict legal framework to ensure that companies take care of the well-being of their employees. Failure to do so can have serious consequences, both civil (fines) and criminal. Evoluno enables them to meet these obligations for the psychosocial aspect. Evoluno is part of a prevention plan, and also a social balance sheet (staff training).
